The Mediterranean sardine (Sardina pilchardus) is a fish with delicate flesh, rich in flavour and prized for its strong taste. Its small size makes it ideal for grilling, frying or canning. This fish is prepared by our fishmongers at the Le Delas seafood workshop in Rungis the night before the order is shipped, ensuring optimal freshness.

Sardines lend themselves to simple cooking methods that bring out their flavour. They are delicious grilled on the barbecue, pan-fried with a drizzle of olive oil or stuffed and baked in the oven. Their strong flavour goes well with tomato, lemon and garlic.
