Traditional walnut vinegar 50cl MARTIN POURET
122471
Based north of Orléans and stamped Master Vinaigrier since 1797, Martin Pouret defends the tradition of old-fashioned vinegar, according to the Orléans process, which consists of transforming wine into vinegar by natural surface fermentation without any stirring. wine, or addition of ferments or other oxidation accelerators.
A few drops of this nut flavored vinegar are enough to season your salads.
Since 1797, Martin Pouret has been bringing out the best acidity in vinegar by ageing it in oak barrels in the Orléans tradition.
During the Renaissance, when wine was being transported from the south of France to Paris, some of it underwent a second fermentation. Set aside in Orléans, they were taken care of by the Maîtres Vinaigriers, of whom there were 400 at the time, who transformed them into vinegar. The Orléans method has become the absolute benchmark for vinegar, like the Champagne method for sparkling wine. The only company to perpetuate this technique, Maison Martin-Pouret and its Master Vinegar Makers continue to pursue this quest for excellence, for the tables of gourmets the world over.
