Le Petit Camembert Saint-Hilaire, produced by the prestigious Fromagerie Gillot in Saint-Hilaire-de-Briouze (Orne), is a cheese with character, crafted using artisanal expertise recognised by the ‘Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant' label. Made exclusively from raw cow's milk of Norman origin, this soft cheese with a bloomy rind offers a distinctive and robust flavour experience. Its white, veined rind protects a paste that becomes increasingly supple and aromatic as it matures. Le Delas has selected this 150g size for its practicality, allowing us to offer a fine raw milk product with optimal portion control.
Culinary uses, preparation and storage:
This small size is ideal for adding variety to your menus:
► Individual platters: Its 150g size makes it the perfect centrepiece for a cheese platter to share between two, or for a ‘whole cheese' offering at the end of a meal.
► Creative cooking: Excellent roasted in the oven with a sprig of thyme and country bread sticks, or sliced to enhance a gourmet ‘local' burger.
► Chic snacking: Perfect for enhancing premium sandwiches on traditional baguettes with a few walnuts or a thin layer of fig jam.
► Preparation: To bring out the full creaminess of the cheese and the complexity of its flavours, it is essential to bring it to room temperature at least 30 to 45 minutes before serving.
► Storage: Store in a cool place between +4°C and +8°C in its original wooden box. Please ensure you observe the best-before date for optimal flavour.
