► Culinary applications: A star ingredient on seafood platters, cooked whelks are traditionally served with homemade mayonnaise or aioli. In more creative cooking, they can be served warm with parsley butter, incorporated into a seafood salad with fresh herbs, or marinated in a citrus vinaigrette for a more contemporary twist.
► Preparation: Ready-to-use product. For optimal flavour, it is recommended to remove them from the fridge a few minutes before serving to allow the marine aromas to fully develop. Their consistent size makes plating easier and helps control portion costs for restaurateurs and caterers.
