A signature dish of Greek cuisine, these stuffed vine leaves (Dolmadakia) are made according to a traditional recipe by Onassis. Selected by Le Delas for their authenticity, they are made with pre-cooked rice, tender onions and a subtle blend of aromatic herbs (dill, mint), all delicately rolled by hand in tender vine leaves. Preserved in high-quality soya oil, they offer a melt-in-the-mouth texture and a typically Mediterranean flavour profile.
Culinary presentation, serving and storage:
► Culinary uses: These vine leaves are an ideal base for creating mezze platters or cold starters. They can be served as they are or incorporated into a platter of Greek specialities (tzatziki, olives, feta).
► Professional benefits: This ready-to-use product saves considerable time in the kitchen whilst ensuring consistent service. Each 280g tin contains approximately 9 pieces. The recipe is certified suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets.
► Preparation: To enhance the flavours, we recommend serving the Dolmadakia with a dash of fresh lemon juice or a creamy yoghurt and garlic sauce. The natural release of starch may sometimes create a slight film on the product; this is normal and does not affect its taste in any way.
► Storage: Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Once opened, transfer the product to an airtight, non-metallic container and keep in the fridge, consuming within three days.
