Pitted mirabelle plums from Lorraine in syrup 2/1 LA VOSGIENNE
118043
These preserved pitted Mirabelle plums are selected from the noble Mirabelle de Nancy variety, renowned for its intense flavour and uniform size (≥18 mm). Harvested and packaged in Lorraine (France), the fruit comes from orchards located less than 100 km from the packaging facility, ensuring a short supply chain and rigorous traceability. Delas, your wholesaler in Rungis, has selected this product for its professional pastry quality. Preserved in a light sucrose syrup (100% natural recipe), these mirabelle plums hold their shape perfectly during cooking and have an intense golden yellow colour. The fact that they are pitted saves considerable time in the kitchen.
Culinary uses
► Classic Pastries: an essential ingredient in traditional Lorraine Mirabelle Plum Tart, clafoutis, fars and upside-down cakes. Their firm texture makes them ideal for decorating thin tarts and desserts.
► Desserts & Entremets: can be incorporated into crispy crumbles, verrines, flans or used in sorbets and quick jams.
► Sweet/Savoury Creations: their sweet and slightly tart flavour pairs perfectly with savoury dishes. Use them to accompany duck breast, roast poultry or in a chutney for a cheese platter.
► Storage before opening: store at room temperature in a dry place (best before: 3 years from the end of the year).
► Storage after opening: store for up to 3 days in the refrigerator (0 to 4°C) in an airtight food container to maintain quality.
► Use: the fruit, already pitted and sized, is ready to use. Simply drain before adding to your hot or cold preparations.
