Prepared in olive oil, the texture of white albacore tuna is soft and its flesh tasty. It is often used for salads, gourmet dishes or even tapas or sauces that will garnish rice or pasta. In addition, being rich in omega-3 fatty acids, phosphorus, potassium and vitamins, white albacore tuna in olive oil is a very popular product in slimming or healthy kitchens. Caught by line, the white albacore tuna is then carefully prepared then packaged in a jar of approximately 220g which can be used for tapas or room service, or be resold as is, in delicatessens for example.

For the last five generations, Las Ortiz Conservas, located in the Basque country, have been selecting and conditioning the most famous species of the gulf of Gascogne, anchovies and albacore tuna. Canned tuna fillets and ventresca are made with fish caught by line during the summer period in order to respect the integrity and maturity of the tuna.
