This fig and almond paste, selected by Le Delas, is a premier product crafted in Spain, at the heart of the country's time-honored traditions of dried fruit processing. Designed specifically to meet the demands of chefs, caterers, and platter designers, this product combines the rich, dense, and naturally sweet texture of premium dried figs (90%) with the nutty crunch of selected whole almonds (10%). Free of any additives, this fruit spread highlights the purity of its ingredients. Its high energy content (347 kcal / 100 g) and 100% plant-based composition align perfectly with modern culinary trends and vegetarian offerings.
Professional uses, preparation, and storage:
► Cheese pairings and platters: Sliced into strips or small cubes, this fruit paste adds an original and flavorful touch to the end of your meal. Its autumnal sweetness creates a remarkable balance and instantly enhances the character of an Ossau-Iraty, the aromatic complexity of a Comté, or many other hard cheeses selected by Le Delas. It also pairs perfectly with the bold flavor of aged goat cheeses or the tang of blue cheeses.
► Creative buffets and charcuterie: Thanks to its excellent hold when sliced, it can be cut into thin slices to accompany platters of fine Iberian charcuterie or diced and incorporated into upscale winter salads.
► Café gourmand and petit fours: Cut into uniform cubes or diamond shapes, it offers a healthy, indulgent, and texturally rich alternative to serve with coffee or tea, or to enhance seminar break buffets.
► Storage: A stable, long-shelf-life product with a best-by date of 9 months. To preserve the softness of the figs and the freshness of the almonds, store the packages in a cool, dry place, away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.
