An authentic Mediterranean speciality to enhance your cheese selection
This fig and almond loaf, selected by Le Delas, is a premium product made in Spain, at the heart of the country's tradition of dried fruit processing. Designed specifically to meet the demands of chefs, caterers and platter creators, this product combines the rich, dense and naturally sweet texture of premium dried figs (90%) with the nutty crunch of selected whole almonds (10%). With no additives, this fruit loaf highlights the purity of its ingredients. Its high energy content (347 kcal / 100 g) and 100% plant-based composition are perfectly in line with modern catering trends and vegetarian offerings.
Professional uses, preparation and storage:
► Cheese pairings and platters: Sliced into thin strips, this fruit loaf provides an original and delicious way to round off your meal. Its mellow, autumnal flavour creates a remarkable balance and instantly enhances the character of an Ossau-Iraty, the aromatic complexity of a Comté, or many other hard cheeses selected by Le Delas. It also pairs perfectly with the robust flavour of mature goat's cheeses or the piquancy of blue cheeses.
► Creative buffets and charcuterie: Thanks to its excellent texture when sliced, it can be cut thinly to accompany platters of fine Iberian charcuterie or diced and added to high-end winter salads.
► Café gourmand and petits fours: Cut into neat cubes or diamond shapes, it offers a healthy, indulgent and textured alternative to serve with coffee or tea, or to enhance seminar break buffets.
► Storage: A stable, long-life product with a best-before date of 9 months. To preserve the softness of the figs and the freshness of the almonds, store the packs in a cool, dry place, away from moisture, heat and direct sunlight.
