This carpaccio of the famous "Gambero Rosso" Sicilian prawns is a gastronomic nugget that combines freshness and refinement in complete simplicity. Prepared from the finest shrimps from the Sicilian Channel (Aristaeomorpha), this delicately sliced carpaccio is ready to use in the blink of an eye. Its delicately sweet flavour and melt-in-the-mouth texture make it an ideal ingredient for seafood tartars or even a chic aperitif.
For a highly sophisticated dish ready in 10 minutes, these exceptional carpaccios and tartars are made from Sicilian shellfish processed by hand and packed individually without glazing.
Renowned for their quality, Don Gambero's crustaceans come from the famous Mazara del Vallo and Sciacca fish markets in western Sicily, fished in the Mediterranean (FAO zones 37.1 - 37.2 - 37.3) using trawls. They are processed by hand using traditional methods to preserve their integrity, then packaged ready to serve in elegant, functional packaging designed to maintain the freshness of the products and their true net weight, without glazing. Frozen immediately after cutting, all the finesse of the textures and the intensity of the marine flavours are preserved. Simply place the still-frozen carpaccios on a plate and wait about ten minutes before serving them as you wish.
