Prepared with olive oil, the texture of this albacore tuna is soft and tasty. It is used for salads, gourmet plates, tapas or sauces that will garnish rice or pasta. In addition, being rich in omega-3 fatty acids, phosphorus, potassium and vitamins, albacore white tuna in olive oil is a popular product in slimming or healthy kitchens. Caught by angling, albacore tuna is then carefully prepared and packaged in jars of 400g that can be used by catering professionals or be sold as such, in delicatessen for example.

For the last five generations, Las Ortiz Conservas, located in the Basque country, have been selecting and conditioning the most famous species of the gulf of Gascogne, anchovies and albacore tuna. Canned tuna fillets and ventresca are made with fish caught by line during the summer period in order to respect the integrity and maturity of the tuna.
