This 1kg bag contains whole frozen chanterelle mushrooms of "super baby" or "clou babies excellence" quality, marketed under the MAGDA brand. They are harvested in various Eastern European countries and China (Turkey, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, etc.). These are wild mushrooms of the Cantharellus cibarius species, selected for their small size (cap diameter: 0.5-2 cm, 80% in size). Individual quick freezing (IQF) ensures that the mushrooms do not stick together. They are characterised by their yellow to orange colour and a slightly bitter taste typical of chanterelles.

Frozen chanterelles are a premium solution for using wild mushrooms all year round, especially at the beginning of the season or to compensate for shortages of fresh produce:
► Noble garnishes: Ideal for accompanying meat (game, veal), poultry (capon, guinea fowl) and fish dishes.
► Sauces and creams: Perfect for making creamy mushroom sauces or duxelles. Their small "baby" size is particularly attractive.
► Omelettes and scrambled eggs: Used to enrich scrambled eggs or omelettes, giving them a forest flavour.
► Practicality: The product is already cleaned, sorted and frozen, saving considerable time compared to fresh wild mushrooms.
Storage and preparation tips:
► Storage: Frozen product to be stored at −18°C until the best-before date indicated on the packaging. Never refreeze a thawed product.
► Use: The product is raw and must be thawed before use. It is advisable to cook (sauté) it immediately after thawing to best preserve its texture.
