From the Chinese cabbage family, this variety is grown for its leaves, which are small, thin, elongated, finely pinnate, and give off a fresh, slightly peppery taste.
This leafy vegetable looks like arugula and is a great addition to salads, never pungent, pungent or stringy, it stays soft and tender and the Japanese are very fond of it in salads. It is also used in soups, marinades or to flavor pickles.
