Le Delas has chosen Beaujolais Villages Nouveau from Domaine des Treilles, a wine estate that has been producing high-quality Beaujolais Villages AOP for five generations. This "Beaujolais Villages" appellation is produced from the Gamay Noir à Jus Blanc grape variety, harvested from vineyards between Villefranche-sur-Saône and Mâcon, close to the crus and at an altitude of between 200 and 550 metres. This young, fruity wine with a garnet colour has the red fruit characteristics typical of Beaujolais wines, but is more full-bodied and colourful than a simple Beaujolais. It pairs well with charcuterie, roast white meats, roast or grilled white poultry, tripe and dishes with melted cheese. For a cheese platter, opt for Brillat Savarin, Saint Marcellin, Saint Félicien, Sainte-Maure, Bleu or Reblochon. It is also perfect with dishes made with melted cheese.
