This whole Edam cheese comes in a loaf shape, making it easy to slice. It is a semi-cooked pressed cheese made from pasteurised cow's milk. Known for its soft texture and mild flavour, Edam cheese is often used for its versatility. This loaf has a wax coating on the surface. Le Delas offers this product in its BOF Workshop to provide professionals (caterers, sandwich shops, delicatessens) with an economical format and consistent quality cheese that is easy to slice and incorporate into many dishes.
Technical characteristics:
► Appearance: Cheese loaf measuring approximately 23×12×9 cm, wax-coated rind (preferably to be removed). Firm and supple texture.
► Fat content: 25% fat / Finished product (Min. 45% fat / Dry matter).
► Key ingredients: Pasteurised cow's MILK (origin Spain), salt, lactic ferments.
Culinary uses: this Edam cheese block is ideal for:
► Making cold or hot sandwiches.
► Buffets and cheese platters.
► Cooking that requires a cheese that melts but does not overpower other flavours.
Storage: Between 4°C and 8°C until the best before date indicated on the packaging.
