These white prawns (Litopenaeus vannamei), farmed in Asia or Latin America, are carefully shelled, cooked in brine and ready to use. Their 'Grande' size (100-200 pieces/pound) offers an excellent balance between fine flesh and ease of serving. They are prepared in the workshops of Dutch supplier Heiploeg, a European shrimp specialist, to rigorous HACCP standards and using cooking processes that preserve their texture and flavour. Packed in brine in 1.5 kg jars (900 g net drained), these prawns are ideal for buffets, salads, seafood cocktails or cold starters. These prawns are ready to eat. Just drain before use.
