We call "marcs" the residues of the grapes pressed after the harvest. Destemmed marc from the king of Alsace wines, Gewurztraminer, is used to obtain this high quality eau-de-vie.
Certainly the most traditional of Alsace eaux-de-vie with a large bouquet and generous fruitiness, with a very rich aromatic power. The essential of watered sorbets, frozen kougelhofs, it is also the most fragrant of marcs, a great classic!
Aged for 5 years in oak barrels and made from the distillation of grape marc from the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, the Vieux Marc de Bourgogne Edmond Briottet is distinguished by an authentic taste of the terroir and a beautiful roundness. Old Marc de Bourgogne is consumed as a digestif, plain or with Dijon crème de Cassis.
